Las Envidias – Barco del Corneta

The name refers to the town of Alcazarén, where the vines of this wine are grown. After more than a year of work restoring the vineyards, Bea and Felix realized that what had been presented to them as “Verdejo Mayor” was actually Palomino or Jerez. As this grape is not very expressive on the nose, they decided to go south and favor an aging in “velo de flor”. Like all their wines, alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in 300-liter barrels and in a sherry cask, where the wine matures organically for 12 months.

In the winery, we work with a minimum of intervention and minimum and responsible doses of sulfur dioxide to guarantee the good development of the wine and the food safety of the consumers. Bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Open bouquet, spicy and aromatic with wild herbs, almonds, nuts, citrus and white fruits. The palate is medium-bodied, slightly sweet, with green apple, pear and candied citrus, fresh structure, balanced acidity and a fairly long finish.
